The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the mayor of Pliego, Isabel Toledo, recently attended the presentation of the socio-community intervention project 'Year 50 vs Millennium', by a group of young municipality participating in the program 'Nueve.e'.
During the 2008-2009 youth Pliego questions were asked their grandparents living in the city on various aspects of personal relationships, leisure time, habits and customs.
The findings of the surveys have been collected in a book, to disseminate and preserve the experiences of all those involved in this initiative.
Veronica Lopez said that "young people Nueve.e program have learned to use the tools that the Institute for Youth has placed at his disposal to get involved in social and cultural life of the municipality."
The purpose of this project is to promote intergenerational cohesion, enhance the exchange of practices, games and culture of its people between the generations, compare and assess the current situation in which we live, work of their elders and collect their experiences.
