The works of the new school of Pliego are getting closer.
The City Council has received the definitive resolution of the Director of Educational Centers of the CARM, María Remedios Lajara, so that the process of contracting the works of the school can begin immediately.
In this way, in just over a year, the location problems were solved and in this first semester of the year the works of the children's pavilion must begin.
Once this contract resolution has been received, the works will go out to tender in a few days, initiating the relevant public process.
From the City Council of the town stressed the need and haste of the start of these works as soon as possible, and the truth is that this resolution comes three weeks after the approval of the project.
The first phase of the new building consists of developing the pavilion of children's education, which will have six classrooms, other dependencies and the dining room, and then the primary pavilion will be developed, so that in total there will be more than 10,000 m2 allocated to the building.
Pedro Noguera, Mayor of Pliego, stressed that "the school is, together with the Day Center and the Municipal Museum, one of the most important projects for our town, since we arrived at the City Council we have not stopped working by piecework, solving delicate problems such as the issue of changing the location of the project.The place where the school was previously designed did not have enough space to equip it with a children's pavilion and a primary pavilion, and this new project that we are going to promote is a modern center and with all the resources to guarantee good resources for public education and impact on the future of our people.
