The Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment, Antonio Luengo, visited Pliego today, where he met with the mayor, Antonio Huéscar, and visited the Irrigation Community and the La Vega de Pliego cooperative.

The cooperative, with about half a thousand members, has more than ten million kilos of marketing all its products: apricot, almond, olive, peach, orange and lemon.

Antonio Luengo stressed that the cooperative has been subsidized with more than 642,000 euros under the 2014-2018 operational program of the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund.
