Pliego has new sports facilities and a new supply network (17/01/2011)

The Government of Spain invests in Pliego over 1.1 million euros through State Funds, 2009 and 2010

The secretary general of the Government Delegation in Murcia, Juan José Camarasa, and the Mayor of Pliego, Isabel Toledo, inaugurated this morning the new athletics track and the new stand of the sports center and the construction of the new network water supply and sanitation in Posadas street of the town.

Both actions have been financed entirely by the Government of Spain through the State Fund for 2010 and have made a joint investment of more than 270,000 euros.

Specifically, the municipal sports center has expanded the activities to be developed and improved the convenience of users.

The new running track rubber is designed with four lanes.

Have also built a new concrete bleachers existing building on the slope of the terrain.

The works have come at a cost of 205,000 euros and generated 7 new jobs.

Moreover, the general secretary of the Delegation of the Government and the Mayor has opened the works of adaptation and improvement of water supply system and sanitation in Posadas Street has meant an investment of the Government of Spain through State Fund 2010 of 65,000 euros and generated 5 jobs.

In this case, the pipes have been replaced by new high-density polyethylene for both the supply to households in the drinking water and the sanitation network.

The works are to eliminate leaks and increase household water flow.

Camarasa pointed out that thanks to Plan E, 2009 and 2010, the town of Pliego is developing a total of 15 projects to work on improving municipal infrastructure and social spending two programs for an aggregate of 1.1 million euros.

The works are creating 66 direct jobs, of which 47 are newly created and all other persons within the successful tenderers.
