On 1 May, after the celebration of the Eucharist in the afternoon, we proceeded to descoronación image of Our Lady of Remedios, the patroness of Pliego.
The celebration took place in the courtyard of the shrine and was chaired by the Vicar General of the Diocese, John D. Tudela, accompanied by the pastor of Pliego, the archpriest of the natural area and two priests of this county.
After the Mass, the band Our Lady of Remedies played the hymn to the Virgin sang all the faithful and then Juan Tudela removed the crown of the Virgin and Child, replacing paths wreaths that adorn the images until Sept. 7, the day will be canonically crowned by the Bishop of Cartagena during the celebration of the closing of the Jubilee Year Santiaguista, held this year in Pliego to commemorate 500 years of history parish of St. James.
In addition, last Saturday took place in this town a Marian Procession Magna images from multiple invocations of the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Remedios, the patroness of Pliego;
Our Lady of Solitude, Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Lady of Bitterness in Mount Calvary, three in Pliego;
and other Marian images from Mula and other municipalities.
